1. Nature of service

Vera provides legal information — not legal advice. Our service helps you understand your legal rights and options based on general legal principles and publicly available information.

• Vera is not a law firm and does not practise law.
• No lawyer-client relationship is created by using Vera.
• Vera is not a substitute for a qualified lawyer. For complex legal matters, court proceedings, or situations requiring formal legal representation, you should consult a licensed lawyer.
• The information provided is general in nature and may not apply to your specific circumstances.

2. Eligibility

Anyone may use Vera's free features. You must be at least 18 years old to use paid features (document generation, Pro subscription).

3. User responsibilities

• You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide to Vera.
• You should not rely solely on Vera's output for decisions with significant legal consequences.
• You agree not to use Vera for any unlawful purpose.

4. Payment terms

• All prices are in Singapore Dollars (SGD) and include applicable taxes.
• One-time document purchases (SGD 9.90) grant you one generated document for your specific situation.
• Pro subscriptions (SGD 14.90/month or SGD 99/year) auto-renew at the end of each billing period. You may cancel at any time — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Vera does not store your card details.

5. Refund policy

• Pro subscription: If you are not satisfied, you may request a full refund within 7 days of your initial purchase. Contact us through Vera's chat to request a refund.
• Document purchases: No refunds on one-time document purchases, as the document is generated and delivered immediately.
• If Vera experiences a technical error that prevents delivery of a paid service, we will issue a full refund or re-deliver the service at no cost.

6. Intellectual property

Documents generated by Vera are for your personal use. The Vera name, logo, and service design are the intellectual property of Vera Legal. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or resell Vera's service or outputs commercially.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Singapore law, Vera Legal shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to Vera in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide at least 30 days' notice via the email address associated with your account, or via a prominent notice on the website. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Vera shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
