Minimum wage (by region)

Minimum wage varies by region. Metro Manila has the highest rate. Check DOLE for your region's current rate. Employers paying below minimum wage face penalties.

13th month pay (mandatory)

All rank-and-file employees are entitled to 13th month pay, equivalent to 1/12 of total basic salary earned during the year. Must be paid by December 24.

Overtime pay (25% premium)

Work beyond 8 hours entitles you to an additional 25% of your hourly rate. On rest days and holidays, the premium is 30%.

Maternity leave (105 days)

Female workers get 105 days of paid maternity leave for live births (60 days for miscarriage). An additional 15 days for solo parents. Fathers get 7 days paternity leave.

You cannot be dismissed without just or authorised cause and due process. Illegal dismissal entitles you to reinstatement and full back wages.
